Death is the continuation of the journey

Spontaneity and unpredictability are the two main features of what life brings. Most things are fun when chosen at random just like the most fun one can have on a date is when things are done spontaneously and not pre-planned. But the thing about spontaneity is the probability that things could go wrong. The unpredictability of life gives a sudden twist to it, it makes us anticipate, second-guess and foresee our actions and judgements as if we were to testify.
Many have dealt with near-death experiences where it is said that your whole life would flash right before your eyes when you’re in a near-death situation, true or false I dare not say as I myself have never been in such a situation. But the horrid truth about life is the unpredictability on its own. Imagine walking out your house door thinking about nothing but the groceries only to walk by and hear a sad story about the sudden death of the late Michael Jackson. Just weeks before his comeback concert, we hear about the death of Michael Jackson (someone who strangely has been tattooed in my head to be immortal.) Now that is unpredictability at its best.
The sad truth is that life is a temporary pass given to us, it isn’t forever, it is never certain. Our visa passes on earth do not hold an expiration date for us to see nor does it promise a certain time limit on our stay. We walk around everyday living our life just as per usual, always neglecting the fact that today could be our last day to see a certain someone, to shower our parents with all our love and to make sure that we have truly lived our life, to the fullest. We go through life uncertain of the possibilities and outcome of things that could and could not happen, things that we think would happen and want to and the people we’d like to meet and the people we want to be.
When life presents itself with an uncertainty on its own, how is one convinced that he/she has gotten the best of what life brings to them? “He who rebels is he whom gets the best experiences in life.” Have you just nodded to this statement? Or did you just “tsk-ed” it in despair? The argument could be seen in both ways, depending on an individual. But how you live your life is on your own terms and your own actions. Life has a general route on it but the roads taken along that route is the prime factor that determines how we get to our destination.
So lets choose our paths carefully, where are you heading toward? Life is all about choices. So choose wisely, and as corny as this will sound, it is nothing but the truth, live your life to the fullest. Best of luck to all!
